This company is Great! We were in an emergency situation with our work van down all of a sudden. Someone referred them and we are so grateful they did. They suggested towing the vehicle so no more damage would be done (wasn't a bad idea at all) and they had our van back to us faster than I thought it would be. We will definitely refer them and hopefully we won't need them again but if we do, we know who to call! They did AN AWESOME job on my 1992 Chevrolet Suburban 5.7 4x4. They took out my old messed up transmission & rebuilt it. Brought it back in for the free 500 mile check up.. Tjay were Courteous, helpful did it in a reasonably quick as they had take mine out repair it then put back in truck. So far very happy with their professional hard work ethic atmosphere. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this shop absolutely earned it. I recently bought a used 2016 Subaru that had the very common CVT issue. Before bringing it anywhere, I did my own diagnostics: Test drove the vehicle, pulled the codes, and replicated the exact conditions causing the issue, confirming the whole transmission does not need to be replaced, only a component. I went to multiple shops with all this data, and they would immediately jump to “you need a whole transmission replacement.” or they wouldn’t even touch the car at all. The moment I walked into Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care, Ron knew exactly what I was talking about. I mentioned the code, and without hesitation he confirmed the exact component in need of repair. That instantly gave me confidence I was finally dealing with people who actually understand CVTs instead of just throwing expensive guesses at customers. Ron even did a free deeper evaluation to fully confirm the diagnosis, ordered the parts, got me scheduled quickly, and had the entire repair completed the same day I dropped it off. The pricing was fair, communication was excellent, and the quality of the work was top notch. The car now drives like a brand new Subaru again. No issues whatsoever.
